Renewal Consultation Update
PROTECT
We carried out a consultation with member businesses between May and September 2010 to identify your priorities and whether you would support the HammersmithLondon BID at the renewal ballot. We were successful in establishing contact with almost 90% of member businesses through one-to-one meetings and phone conversations and many of you also completed our consultation survey. So a big thank you for your support and commitment. We are pleased to report that a majority of the businesses have given us an overwhelming pledge of support.
Your responses to the consultation have helped us to shape our proposals for the Hammersmith Town Centre for the next five years.
The top five priorities you identified were:
Continue to fund extra police patrols targeting business
priorities such as anti-social behaviour, theft and street
drinking.
IMPROVE
Continue to provide colour and vibrancy through the
hanging baskets and other green improvements and
continue with our free recycling programme.
ENERGISE
Continue and build on the successful calendar of events
ensuring increase in footfall from local employees and
visitors.
CONNECT
Continue to provide our e-newsletter, newsletter and other
programmes to help connect the local business community.
We also suggested some new projects which businesses responded positively to and which will therefore be included in our Proposals. These included:
Additional security initiatives that include expansion of the security model, additional CCTV cameras, more meet PCSO events and ANPR to track illegal vehicles
Expanding the recycling offer and pavement protector application
More and greener transport schemes to promote sustainable transport
More promotion of individual local businesses through the privilege card and events
Remember, businesses that contribute to HammersmithLondon will be eligible to vote in the renewal ballot in February 2011 we will be contacting you all over the next few months to make sure you have all the information you need to be able to vote.
