Visit to the Materials Recycling Facility

A visit was recently made to the Bywaters Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) over in Bow to witness first hand how the waste collected by the BID recycling scheme was being handled. The scheme has produced nearly 100 tonnes since its inception and all of that waste has gone to Bywaters for processing.

£5m to pay for 48 new police officers in Hammersmith and Fulham

10 tonnes of recyclable waste in May alone!

The HammersmithLondon recycling scheme, which is free to BID member businesses collected nearly 10 tonnes of recyclable waste in May alone. The scheme is now collecting around this number on a monthly basis and has 104 businesses signed up and using the service.

Business Crime Partnership

The HammersmithLondon Business Crime Partnership is going from strength to strength with 16 businesses currently signed up to the Pubwatch attending monthly meetings. 29 unwanted patrons have so far been banned by the Pubwatch board and incidents in these premises have decreased as a result.

FREE Guided Walk on Friday 27th May showcasing Montgomery's D-Day Blueprint site

In 1943 General Montgomery commandeered his old boys school, St Pauls in Hammersmith Road, to plan D-Day. We see where he presented his blue print for landing 200,000 men on a hostile shore, to the King, General Eisenhower and Winston Churchill. The walk leaves from 1 Lyric Square at 1pm and will last around 45 minutes.
