New Season Sale at the Lyric Theatre

The Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith are thrilled to announce their new season today, beginning with the extension, due to overwhelming demand, of Abi Morgan and Frantic Assembly's Lovesong in January. Following closely in February is Sean Holmes and Filter's A Midsummer Night's Dream, a funny and music-filled re-interpretation of Shakespeare's classic comedy.
Vivienne Franzmann's smash-hit Mogadishu returns to the Lyric in March to mark the end of its national tour. See www.lyric.co.uk for dates to ensure you don't miss your last chance to see 'the play of the year' (Daily Telegraph). Also welcomed is the return of Spymonkey and Kneehigh's Emma Rice in April with Oedipussy, an irreverent and outrageous subversion of Sophocles' myth.
April also sees the Lyric continuing their celebration of the work of Edward Bond. Sean Holmes and the dramatist himself will revive three of his one act plays, Have I None, The Under Room, and Chair. Finally, to end the season, they have welcomed back Simon Stephens with a dark new thriller Three Kingdoms. A part of World Stages London, the play has already been described as 'profoundly great' by Germany's Die Welt. Don't miss this chance to see one of these theatrical events of 2012.
