Make a difference to those alone at Christmas

Help Hammersmith & Fulham Council create a memorable Christmas Day celebration for our senior citizens

Hammersmith and Fulham Council need your help in making Christmas Day a memorable occassion for our senior citizens and are calling upon volunteers to help out on Christmas Day as well as invite all donations and presents for this special occassion.

The council's events team have been organising the special Christmas Day lunch at the town hall for over twenty years, offering people who have no family living nearby a place to come together for food, Christmas presents, a raffle and entertainment. Up to three hundred of the borough's older residents who usually spend the festive season alone will have the opportinity to celebrate Christmas Day together at Hammersmith Town Hall this year.

For the first time ever this year’s event is being sponsored by Parnham’s Funfairs. Parnham’s have also sponsored Saturday’s fireworks display at Ravenscourt Park (5th November 2011) and provided the funfair at a recent PlayDay event.
