Judges decide that HammersmithLondon is Blooming Lovely

Mayor Frances Stainton hosted the London in Bloom Awards ceremony last week (10.11.11) at Hammersmith Town Hall at which HammersmithLondon received a silver award for their work in the Town Centre and a silver award for the ‘Best BID’ category. The BID team, in the form of Matthew John, Director of Operations, also accepted an award on behalf of the Novotel for best hotel (3rd place).

Senior council staff were in attendance along with the Mayor and HammersmithLondon were personally congratulated for their work greening the area with hanging baskets, planted areas and flower towers supplied by Windowflowers.

Matthew John said, “After all the hard work we put into transforming the corner of Hammersmith Road – and following all the praise we have had for the flashes of brightness and colour of our hanging baskets – it was a great feeling for the BID to be honoured with these awards.”
