HammersmithLondon runners complete Race For Life
On July 10th, the HammersmithLondon runners took to the grounds of Hammersmith to embark on an epic 10km Race For Life charity run. With an age range of 13 to 50, the girls managed to raise over £300 with the help of Hammersmith London. The money raised at the events that take place up and down the country have led to an overall drop of around 15% in the death rate from all cancers since Race For Life began.
To get into the mood, four male cheerleaders took to the stage to get the crowds energised and warm for their run. Over 1000 women danced and stretched amongst the sea of pink tops, shorts and faces. Taking to the course, on the hottest day of summer, they managed to complete it with a fastest time of one hour ten minutes. The ambiance of the day was fantastic, and with a great cause, the HammersmithLondon team did themselves proud.
