Delivering Project Griffin: Fight Against Terrorism

As part of the BIDs commitment to a safe and secure BID area, we have to be aware of the threat of terrorism and its wide ranging impact on our area. The threat of terrorism is still a serious one and recent convictions have shown that there are people out there intent on attacking us. We all have a role to play in keeping London safe and an important role in the fight against terrorism is the role that the community plays.
HammersmithLondon are working with the police to help deliver Project Griffin, an initiative to advise and familiarise managers, security officers and employees of public and private sector organisations on counter terrorism and crime prevention issues.
The events aim is to engage, encourage and enable members of the community to work in partnership with the police to deter and counter terrorist activity and crime.
You will be able to discuss the current nature of the threat, how to recognise tactics used by terrorists and what to do in an emergency. The event could provide invaluable information to yourself and your staff, to book your place please contact the BID office on 020 8741 8157 or email m.john@hammersmithlondon.co.uk.
