Closure of the National Pandemic Flu Service –– Immediate action required!

The National Pandemic Flu Service was launched in England in July last year to assess people suffering from swine flu via the telephone and internet. With the number of swine flu cases now falling, the service will stop offering assessments at 1am on Thursday 11 February 2010. Please remove all communications to the public and staff which reference the National Pandemic Flu Service with immediate effect. This includes posters, leaflets and information you may have posted on websites. Please cascade this information to anyone within your organisation who may need to take this action.

Advice to people who think they have got swine flu?
From Thursday 11 February anyone who thinks they have swine flu should be directed to stay at home and call their GP who will be able to assess them and authorise antivirals if needed. GPs will also be able to advise patients on vaccination.

Antiviral Collection Points
From Thursday 11 February there will be only two antiviral collections points in Hammersmith and Fulham.
