Swine Flu Prevention

With swine flu now circulating across London we would like you help to make sure people living and working in Hammersmith understand about flu, how it might affect them and what they should do if they catch the virus.

For people not showing any symptoms it should be business as usual. For people who do catch flu it is unlikely to be any more severe than ordinary flu. There are good local services in place but it is important that people follow the correct steps to prevent spreading the virus to others.

The key is that people with symptoms should stay at home to rest and prevent spreading the flu. Telephone your GP or NHS Direct in the first instance for an assessment and advice on what you need to do.
